I just saw the Avatar and it's power keeps going off in my mind like I swallowed some 4th of July rockets. Boom! Another insight goes off. This movie I believe is going to speed up humanities shift from the world view of separateness to that of unity, and the reason I see this is because Avatar first opens our mind with wonder (the 3D and seamless marriage of human and digital), then through that hole pours in it's hero quest for the Grail. This is the ancient path of the hero (see Joseph Campbell) and all on the yoga path are this one hero. The hero is us. And the Holy Grail we seek is unity consciousness. There is only one Unity consciousness.

There is a switch in the movie. Did you see it? When it happened I wrote in down in the dark so I wouldn't forget: "Out there is the true world; in here is the dream." At that point our hero experiences a radical shift in consciousness where one world dies and another is born. When the old world dies, the...

I just noticed as I introduce myself to this forum that this is the wrong question for me. I didn't come to yoga, yoga came to me. In 1968 yoga was not on my horizon even though I had spend most of the decade searching for truth in philosophy and religion, fruitlessly, I might add. As a Virginia high school teacher I became aware of the revolution in consciousness that was occurring through my students. Little did I know that it was occurring in me.

I went to sleep one night listening to an audio of Krishnamurti, given by a friend who saw him on public TV. When I awoke the next morning, my soul was awake. I looked in the mirror and recognized my Self. The personality that was the day before was like a dream, and now I suddenly knew who I was. I broke out laughing. What followed is very difficult to describe (and I have never done this in public like this before), but I felt as though I was operating prior to mind.
Hi,

I have your "Beginner Yoga" video and enjoy it very much. I would like to know which video you would recommend next to switch things up? The "Backbends" video looks interesting to me. Are there any inversions? Are your live classes still available on video? I am not interested in vinyasa at this time. I really enjoy gentle yoga right now. It keeps me coming back for more.

Thank you,
Erik
