I am not new to online forums but I've never participated in a yoga forum before, so I'm very happy to be here.
I took my first yoga class out of curiosity in 1998 and my first reaction was, "Oh, it's just poses?" That seems so funny to me now. I'm
not sure what I thought yoga was. Yoga clicked with me right away and I've been practicing ever since. My first class was a free class offered at my

So I love yoga but can not stand most classes. I have some considerable authority issues that have been with me for a long time. I am not proud of them but I

So I have always yearned for a yoga practice where the teacher really encouraged the students to listen to their own bodies and minds and to do what they
needed to do. A sort of improv yoga where the teacher...

Actually it is a very long story - so this is the nutshell version. I actually began to do yoga in the late 1970' s because a friend was teaching a class
and I was running my first little business and I was totally stressed out. She seemed so CALM! I wanted some of that. Yoga has been and off and on again
