Hi,

We did it. We made the Camp Allen Chocolate Chip Cookies this weekend. Enlightenment has descended. They are VERY good.

I didn't get enough chocolate for the whole batter so we split it up and made a few as just "Camp Allen Walnut Cookies". These are very good too. Not as superluscious as the original recipe, but really nice - different.

Great ! That is a major clarification. I had definitley envisioned it as mostly a yoga workshop event.

With that much lead time I can plan for it (as long as I manage to stay employed).

We are expecting rain this weekend. Think I'll put trying out MJs recipie on the agenda. That will be something fun to look forward to.

"Reverse engineer" the cookies! Love that! Somehow, I can't imagine the act of deconstructing cookies happening around here. If you haven't yet tried out MJ's recipe on pg. 1 of this thread, Jay, let me STRONGLY suggest you give them a whirl...exquisite!

And yes, like Rons said, the Gathering isn't a yoga workshop at all....

Another, "recipie" I must share are my grilled banana sandwiches. Talk about simple. I slice up some bananas and make a sandwich just like I would grilled cheese. The trick is to grill them very slowly so the bananas more or less melt.

Hi Everyone!
I am happy to pass on the recipe for the cookies I brought down to Camp Allen. When I heard about the altar and other folks bringing things to share, I knew I had to make something. Cooking is a big part of my life and I wanted to give a bit of that to everyone there. Adding love and good intentions while baking always makes these cookies vanish quickly when served!
Just let me know when and where & I'll bring along another batch...
