        <![CDATA[ I don&#39;t know if this discussion was started previously. If so than please excuse my opening a new topic.


I would like to know how long you hold your Asanas. I&#39;ve read that it&#39;s sometimes recommended to hold them for 10 or 15 minutes!

Because I think I never hold them for even a minute. Exceptions: Savasana and meditation poses.

I know that I&#39;m still a beginner and that I will be able to hold them for a longer extent of time when I&#39;m more advanced in Yoga.

I was responding to your intention and expectations (attitude or stance) in relation to your ASANA class specifically;  like what are you trying to achieve in
a yoga class in regards to how long you hold a pose and/or what level class you might be taking. It seems to me that the purpose of the classes should be to
activate your own inner wisdom. Then you know what asanas to do and how long to hold them. That does take some dedication and focus, but its do-able.

I&#39;ve started participating in a level II class that last for 1 1/2 hours I feel very exhilirated but some of the asanas are a bit out of my reach and even
though the teacher is patient I am wondering if I&#39;ve stepped up too early, also another factor is my bulk I have lost close to 20 lbs and have ease when in
balance poses but some of the inversions are still difficult due to my size. I&#39;m... ]]></description>

poetry was easier for me to get his message. He is definitely a tantric who has a tantric take of the Vedas and Upanishads. Regarding the Yoga Sutras there is
only a conflict if one tales teh samkhya viewpoint (as samkhya is incompatible with tantra). <span style=""> </span></p>

<p>I try to use extreme care to not make the practice too ethereal, and at the same time being acutely aware that can pendulum and become too rational.</p>
