Also today, one of Jim's students takes his final jumps to qualify for the Olympics. It has a been a long, rough road to get to this place in his life. quite remarkable. we went to see Matt jump last month and i was taken aback by how he has transformed his life from the streets/jail/abusive family life to a beautiful person. It has been thru sports and the encouragement of coaches that he has come this far...like Jim, he found a way to channel his anger and hard life through something positive...
so i see the great value of opportunities like the Olympics...
and then there is human rights. this side of the Olympics can't be ignored.
I wanted to open a dialogue here for others to share.
