Posts: 1085 (10/23/07 10:44:45) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I just talked to my brother (he lives in Wildomar, in Riverside county)... it seems he and his co-workers (a bunch of Marines, 7 in total) who drive in together to Miramar went as far as Escondido yesterday and had to stop. He said today he showed up at the van pool point and no one else was there! The nearest fire from him is about ten miles away, and he is relatively safe thus far. Poor thing, he can't get to work... Glad everyone is able to stay safe... the evacuation numbers are stunning. I am praying for safety for All. Grandstaff "Ego excludes, confidence includes. It is really good to read that all you guys are safe Suzi

Wind is down ....the sky was very clear this morning ....& very very smoky by afternoon....so air quality poor... However we are good here in Ojai....counting our blessings...much love going out to all those who are displaced & lost their homes & also all the volenteers who are providing for the evacuees families & animals....whether it be food or shelter or something as simple & much needed as laughter ....

Right now in California there are lots of forest fires. These fires are hurting nature, animals, and some people are suffering because their homes have been lost. We are a sangha of Dharma practitioners and so we should say some prayers for the fires to cease, both the ones already ignited as well as in the future. We should all say the following lines while thinking of Guru Rinpoche. This is very important.
