It's funny what I forget worked with our first child. With the age difference (5 years) I have to go back and re-read what to do with them at this age (-:
Here is my summer work area. I sit out back next to the garden on a lawn chair and pretend I don't hear my kids yelling for me http://www.flickr.com/pho...in/set-72157600202543915/

Everyone is so neat and tidy.
the woman who cleans my house was just here this morning! so, i felt it was safe to get a picture. my dining room usually doesn't get too out of order... but like i said, my office is another story entirely. i'm hoping to remedy that soon. we're starting with a wall of shelves for our books. suzi, thank you! i love the color too. i had it in our other house and decided to use it again. it's called "reddened earth" from sherwin williams.

Hi Everyone
Here's a picture of where I post my messages. I'm a very busy baby. As you can see, I'm multi-tasking. Avi

Great space Avi!!!
re: neat and tidy, that's why I got an armoire, so when things get too messy, I just close the door. I once took a continuing education workshop and they made it clear that people have different organizational styles. Some keep everything neat and tidy, some have piles everywhere. Yet when asked, those of the pile persuasion can find exactly where something is. That workshop became a permission slip for me to be OK with how I do things! (which is usually in big piles) ~ ~

Well, after I read your invitation to see my space, Sandy, I pushed back the computer chair...grabbed the camera and fired off 3 shots, without disturbing a
single thing. Now, as sometimes happens on yuku, I can't get their system to upload to my image files. The Images process always seems to be a crap-shoot
with yuku...sometimes we have lift-off and sometimes we're still on the launch pad. I'll keep trying....

Sri, Dennis and Carie ... I admire piles and stacks of people's work ... I would like to be more like that. I just don't function well in chaos. It
is only Dale and I ... and now Garrett (13) here so we stay pretty neat. Becoming a full time Auntie-Mom has changed the personality of our home. We have
guitar hero drums and guitars in a chair in the den, and the drum set has taken over part of my yoga room, and wires from his game thingy are sticking out of
the television. I find myself relaxing into it. Garrett's room on the other hand looks like a tornado went through it, but since it is his space I
leave it alone. I have drawn the line with Kye (4) and the legos being left on the floor, those things hurt like hell when I step on them.
Darlene I love that color and the name of the color too. Juniper your garden spot is beautiful. Want to share that play dough recipe? I am with a little one every day now. Avi ... I would have expected no less than multi-tasking from you! Suzi, your space is pretty ding dang neat too. I knew Sandy was hiding her papers piles. After rooming with her and seeing all the paper work she did before coming on that trip I knew she had lots of research stuff around her. Plus she was always shooting up Re the yuku pics ... I think resizing them is the secret. Come on let us see you! r |

Last, but not least, the true slovenly side shows...this is a little sewing box that has turned into Shady's scratching post. It sits beside me on my
left. He used to sit on there, before I claimed it. Pretend you are playing that little "circle the hidden pictures "game in Hi-Lites...can you find
the N.Y. Times crossword? my cameral instruction manual? more binoculars? the bag stuffed with occasion cards? my Gathering folder? birding checklist? birthday
book? address book? calendar? and even a bonus one...look for my beanie cap I wear birding when it's cold? (hint: it's peeking out on top of the
puzzle).

Lol, it's so nice to see other's piles. Here is the playdough recipe, it comes from "Raising Your Spirited Child" I like using the different
types of cool aide for different smells. The kids dig that.
Sensory Dough: 2.5 cups white flour .5 cup salt 2 pkgs dry unsweetened cool-aid 2 cups boiling water 3 tbs. oil Mix dry stuff together in a bowl. Mix liquids in another, and pour into dry bowl. Stir until it becomes cool and not so sticky. It will totally resemble Play-Doh once it's done and cooled. This also makes ALOT of dough, so you could spit it in half and do two dif. colors and scents.
