I have heard about "Kids Yoga" and more partner Yoga classes. As a creative person, I am always looking on ways to attract people to Yoga and to inspire myself to teach different styles and ideas. She will say more or less anything to get convicts to participate. One classic is "it will improve your concentration and make you a better thief". Trends come and go - and on that basis so will your students - because there will always be another trend. This is a really GREAT time for the full yoga synthesis - body, breath, mind, consciousness, because the old "certainties" are being chopped down everywhere. People have less to spend, but they may be asking more questions. So if there is a valuable trend in 2009, it may be towards rediscovering the hidden meaning and purpose of the practice, in all its variety.

Freedom is getting a little more attention, too. In my 500 ryt training, we do a freedom practice for an hour before our Sunday training sessions.
