We're having a heat wave and a drought so I made some chocolate granita to cool us off. It's low fat and organic but does have sugar in it.
I've also made this 2 other ways. One is to substitute half the water with fresh squeezed orange juice and adding a TB of orange zest. The other was to make the water/chocolate/sugar mix and add 1 large stalk of fresh lavendar and 1/2 teaspoon of dried lavendar flowers, take the mix through the refridgeration part and then strain the liquid before putting it in the freezer. The orange makes it tangy and the lavender adds a nice herbal hit.
Enjoy!
