Hi Ma! Are you out there?!

I am reading this thread for the second time and I am so excited to see it was you that had recommended Namaste yoga!!!. I wish I had known that when I met you! Awhile back I was posting a recommendation for Namaste yoga and someone sent me the link for this short thread where you mention that Kate Potter is willing to do a workshop as long as you are willing to do the leg work.and next thing you know I am putting this together, and the workshop is materializing before my very eyesand you were the catalyst!

It will be the weekend of May 16th and it is going to be at the Biltmore Hotel, where I have taught yoga for a long time. Have you been there? It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.. If you havent been there go to their website and you can take a virtual tour of the place. But of course this just does not do it justice especially because for many of the rooms they have the curtains drawn and you miss the dramatic floor to ceiling views of the sky and treetops.. The ballrooms have incredible intricate ceilings, amazing acoustics and overall amazing peaceful energy.

Anyway just wanted to let you know that you were at the root of this workshops conception! Along with a Friday session, two sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday morning, we are also going to have a teachers workshop on Sunday afternoon to discuss issues/techniques/possibilities specific to yoga teachers. So make sure you save the date, and let me know if you want to be involved in any way!

Im still planning on showing up to your class one of these days.what is your schedule? Any classes on the weekend?

Too bad I didn't get to do the spaz out dance with you in Tampa! The biltmore hotel has an interesting history...it is soooo hard for me to imagine it as a VA hospital! I have been working there for more than ten years now and when I first started we did not have a set room for yoga. So for a long time I had to ask where the yoga class was being held everytime and as a result I got to teach in every room in the hotel including the cabanas alongside the pool. I know the hotel pretty well and the ballrooms are magnificent... a magical setting for yoga.

May 16th-18th! Along with lots of yoga/meditation, we plan to hold sessions on ayurveda, one session for teachers only and we are going to serve tea with a question and answer session. I would love for you to come! I am really enjoying putting it together, right now in the process of getting sponsors. It is always amazing to watch an idea become reality...one of the really fun things about life.

You cannot imagine how happy your e-mails have made me! I am so excited that you both are interested in attending, and I feel your incredible support just pouring through.

This is the first time I have taken something like this on, and because I am sort of feeling my way as I go it is just a bit nerve wracking. Many many years ago I wanted to do exactly this except to host Erich at the Biltmore. I discussed it with a friend and she was really enthusiastic, she knew Erich. She wanted to plan it with me and I never went through with it. I felt like I didn't really know how to put it together, and I procrastinated on it...never did it. This friend died a couple of years ago and her death hit me really hard. She was a young, vital incredible person. A yoga teacher who's life at the time had so many similarities to my own. Staring at mortality has a way to make what seems to be a big deal, no big deal and the smallest things to be huge miracles. I have been thinking about her a lot through the planning of this. Regretting my self doubt at the time. Its like what Erich often talks about being brave enough to do as you are prompted.

Anyhow I will keep you posted,
