Suzanne I LOVE your haircut.....!!! Its makes you look younger and brighter in the face.....or maybe its that smile you have.....
Sandy BTW locks of love is a great program....my girlfriend does all the haircuts at our relay and she also offers her time to people that have had lost their hair and works on wigs for them...it really helps them deal with the healing process and how they feel about themselves. |

Suzanne, I wouldn't even have recognised you by that first shot. I had to keep looking and looking to see you in there. Maybe it's just the expression. The after shot is TOTALLY you. Love it. "Sassy", yes, perfect.
Heidi, very wonderful you did this too |

On the website it says that they actually sell gray locks to cover manufacturing costs, since the wigs are for kids, and, you know, gray wouldn't be so appropriate for a kid. So, I don't know if they really do bleach all the hair.
Glad everyone likes my new 'do. You probably didn't really recognize me because my hair had gotten so dark before the color job. I really don't look like me without blonde hair. I actually get depressed before I get my color done; it's my big sign that it's time to get Amanda to work her magic on me. Be the realized teacher.

Hi Suzanne
What a lovely gift. You look great! Just out of curiosity, have you noticed now that you go to adjust your hair, and realize it's no longer there? I love the mug shot, and your title, "Before the Whacking." I'd guess you've been watching the Sopranos. Alan |

Re: re | ||

I do watch the Sopranos! My husband now thinks the solution to all our problems is to have the people whacked. Whenever we are into watching Sopranos episodes, we're always plotting who will whack. It's a lot of fun.
I know it is so funny about adjusting to the shorter length. I keep trying to pull my hair off my shoulders...whoops! or check to make sure I'm not lying on it...nope, not there! It definitely feels lighter. Be the realized teacher.

So when you gonna shave it all off, like Natalie Portman did for V for Vendetta?
|

Hey, I already did that | ||
|
Ha! I did that, ok, it wasn't totally shaved off but I kept it to a quarter inch. This was circa 1979, my punk days.
My hub (then my bf) used to tell everyone I kept it that short because I wanted everyone to be able to see the tattoo of the last supper on the top of my head. Yeah, everyone we ever told that to looked. |

It looks really cute, Suzanne. I go through hair reinarnations all the time. I went from "really long, blonde" to very short, red" a couple of years ago. Really fun watching people react. Marianne |

Marianne...that's a pretty big change!
I actually did have a super short cut in my high school days. My friends called me "Tweety Bird." It looked completely absurd with my big, round bug eyes. Well, it looked really cute on the MODEL in the magazine. Be the realized teacher.

Hi Dennis! Nice to see you are back! Thanks for the compliment. I'm loving it. It's funny now that I am used to it to have friends who haven't seen me for a few weeks react. It makes me do a double-take. Or, better yet, if it's just an acquaintance who hasn't seen me in some time, and they are furrowing their brows trying to figure out who IS that person?

That would be adorable on you, but I love the cut you have now, too.. hhmmm..
I wonder what you'll do! |

Change is always fun. That cut looks pretty wash and wear, so that's good....my #1 criterion. I can't stand having to futz around with rollers and blow
dryers, etc.. Whatever I wake up with is how the world gets me all day!
