Story starts at 43:00 minutes into the episode.
"Writer Tobias Wolff reads his story Bullet in the Brain (from his collection of stories The Night in Question), about a bank robbery and a man who's shot, and what he thinks about before he dies. (13 minutes)"
I remember this from when it first played on the radio. It's in the genre of John D. MacDonald, Elmore Leonard, Jim Thompson. A tough-guy story, but quite yogic, as it refers to action appropriate (and inappropriate) for circumstances and conditions, among other things. I think it's one of the best stories they is.
