Hey, if anybody out there is going to go to this, wanna meet up? I'm going mainly because MANOSE will be there, with Deva Premal and Miten, for both a
concert and workshop, but also taking a bunch of workshops with peeps I've heard much about but never experienced.. Gurmukh, Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell, Rod
Stryker... looking forward to shaking up some holding patterns and getting some new ideas, who-hoo.
Also, Deva et al are doing a public conert.. I think tix are$25.. for people not in the conference.

been with mark....(I love him!) and shiva....but not gurmukh or rod yet....you will totally enjoy... I got the brochure to the conference....would love to go...but doubt I will make it... send some deva vibes down this a way...when you are with her.... have a blast....  sandy

Hey Marianne,
Have a blast!!! I've been with Rod , Gurmuhk ,did an 8 hour thang with her and got my wings that day  Woooo HOOOOO, watched Shiva Rea, to much for me!!! 
I may be going to Deva Primal, Miten, and Manose next month in Miami. I'll keep you posted, ma

Hi Marianne--
I'm so glad you started this thread. I just found out that I"ll be attending this. I am helping out w/ Kelly McGonigal's workshop on Fri. & then Sat. morning, but I want to definitely check out the rest of the workshops when I'm there. We should definitely try to meet up--I love meeting MIS folks in person. 
Out of curiosity, where are you staying when you're there? Still figuring out my lodging! Best, Megan |

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.. we were at Omega for the Ecstatic Chant weekend, and it was so darn ecstatic that we didn't leave until 11:30 Monday night, got home at 3:30 am, an dI had to be at work yesterday at 7:30 am.  So I came home and went right to bed yesterday.

Your weekend sounds fantastic! The ecstatic is continuing--I would love to share a room at the Sheraton (can't beat that for convenience). I promise I don't snore and know how to let myself back into hotel rooms.  And if my previous
experience meeting MIS peeps in person is any indication, I am all the more excited (I agree, feel like I know people just from the boards for sure). What

I'll be traveling to NY for Omega as I am assisting Aadil with workshops. I don't know how my time is apportioned beyond the workshop schedule below. Gordon, this is fantastic. Y'know when I saw Aadil on the lineup I was wondering if you might be attending. I will absolutely come by to try to catch you
at some point. I just got my registration confirmation in the mail, so I will check that to see which sessions I'm in (I think I'm actually in one of
Aadil's) and let you know.

Yea, tomorrow' s the day! Hope we get to meet up.. I will be rooming with Megan, so hopefully we will find you.
I am planning to arrive about 3 to check in, but I am skipping out on the first evening to see Manose do a solo concert at the Rubin Museum from 7 to 8:30 that evening.Rare opportunity, he does not do many solo events. |

Will do! I just talked to Marianne for the first time on the phone today (always nice to put a voice with the poster) & I can't wait to meet my roomie
and catch Gordon at some point too.
I noticed the conference hotel has wi-fi in the lobby so if I get geeky enough, I will post some updates here during the conference & make sure I tuck that camera in my suitcase. |
