Hannah, I was just thinking about you and wondering whether you had gone ahead with the tattoo... was going to ask on the thread where you mentioned about
getting it done. Looks good!
I don't have any, so I have nothing to show... thanks for sharing

Hi Suzi,
Thank you, glad you think it looks ok. It's the only one I have that my parents really love so that's a bonus!! I was getting another one as well - a lotus flower with om like my avatar - but we found out on Thursday night that it's 99% certain my husband's going to be made redundant at the end of September I got this one done on Saturday morning and the guy who did it was brilliant. He used the tiniest of needles and was so careful ~ I'd definitely recommend him and will be using him again. An eye for an eye and soon the whole world is blind |

Nice, Hannah!
No pics from me either. The only tattoo I ever got is now mostly gone...just a few hints of blue still left in the area. Yes, it stupidly had a former love's name in a heart. Live and learn. Sri

still has some areas that need to be touched up as it is a cover of something else. |

I should rephrase that statement, the attooist is here in Port Charlotte but the design was done in and for the 2005 Adidas Marathon in Vancouver. Thanks , it
represents about 5 hours in the chair on 2 separate occasions. I have 12 in all, just got hooked, everybody has a "jones" mine happens to be ink.....

wow...nice tatoos...both of you....
i'm not into pain so I don't have any either...or really my tolerance of pain is high..i'm a baby... and i wouldn't know what to pick out of all the designs in all the world...that i would want permanently....be a hard decision i have some friends that wanted to get rid of their tatoos...and they said it was very painful...laser...worse than getting the tatoo itself.... ouch! We do not need to be the same, or think the same But we can hold hands as fellow travelers in this life. |

Ah the pain is the transcendant part,
Its where you find your true heart, amidst the pleasure of it, then you become the art.... |

Transcend????
Well, good on you if you could do that, Mr. Bill. I was not able to go any further than "grrrr!" each one of the needle pricks. I found it to be the most annoying experience ever, and was so happy the tattoo I chose was small. Five hours and I would have been ready for the straightjacket! I bow to your endurance, Sri

Actually the pain turns to giddiness as the endorphins kick in and youu giggle as if you were high. Becoming one with the pain helps as well.

This last one really hurt when he started (because it was in such a tender spot) but after about 15 mins as Bill said, the old endorphins kicked in and it
didn't hurt anymore. I love getting them done and after he was finished I could quite happily have let him carry on with something else. Having said that,
I can only endure about 3 hours tho before my body starts going into shock!!!
They are VERY addictive. I've had 10 and I'm constantly finding new designs and trying to figure out where to put them! An eye for an eye and soon the whole world is blind |

Hi
guys, I've alwayes loved the idea of a tatoo, and finally got one one my 18 anniversary. We just had 20 so that was 2 years ago. I wanted a dolphin or rose originally, but was moved to turtles. Always seeing them on outings etc... the meaning of the sea turtle is also amazing. The short meaning is the sea turtle is the symbol of heaven and earth, longevity, but there is so much more, For me it reminds me of our family times together by the sea! If I can figure out how I'll post a pic later. I get lucky with pics sometimes Ma |
