weird thing on headstand |
Lead | |
|
Last week a student complained of tingling her mouth and part of her face during headstand. The posture is not new for her and looked to me pretty aligned and
relaxed...Have you heard about that?

I couldn't possibly comment on a forest after being given only a sliver.

So will you be giving additional information? I'm not sure what a winking emoticon actually means.

Dear Purnayoga,
That´s all I have...nothing more, I´m sorry. |

Oh that seems odd. Weren't you in class with this student?
Is she old, young, big, small, tall, short, fit, sedentary? Is she on any meds or does she have any health issues? Does she have a normal cervical curve? What is her practice like? In what style? How often is she doing her asana practice? What poses preceded Sirsasana and which follow it? What is her placement point on the skull? Is she going up at the wall or in the middle of the room. Are her eyes looking buggy or sleepy? Have you looked at the orientation of her head after placement but before she comes up in the pose? ========================== The spoken word is your master, the unspoken word your slave. |

Hi Bella
I just saw on your profile that you are from Brasil and, although your English is excellent, I was wondering if the problem in clarifying your question is due to language? If it is, drop me a line via the message feature in the profile section and I'll see if I can help you out. and here's the page with a link to her e-mail address: ttp://www.yogabrasil.com.br/estudio/
Suzi PS In case you do write to Eloisa tell her Susan from Portugal suggested it as she doesn't know me as Suzi |

Thanks for you interest Suzi.... Although writing in English can be tiring for me, this is not the problem. I really don´t have anything else to add, I´m
sorry! I´ve already told the asana was pretty aligned and relaxed. The student is regular, fit and and healthy and the asana was not new to her. If I had
something new I would love to post! It´s really a mistery to me this reaction in this posture and It´s the first thing I´ve heard this kind of symptom, the
only thing I ask is if you have already seen this reaction...that´s all.
Sincerely, sometimes I think you speculate too much purnayoga...Sometimes your effort seems to me beyond interest and it´s a little bit annoying, sorry! That´s why the winking emoticon means... Bella |

Sorry you've become annoyed Bella.
Speculation however, can only be present when there is not enough data for a safe and effective assessment. It is the very thing I am efforting to avoid. I'll try to work on my approach though, thank you. ========================== The spoken word is your master, the unspoken word your slave.
