Checking in with those of you who live close to the Montecito/Santa Barbara fire. Please be safe and get out of the area.
The weather in So Cal right now is different than usual, it's hot, very dry and windy. |

the sky here in ventura (about 25 mi. so of montecito) is pink grey orange smoke pretty thick over the ocean
i can't find much current info on the fire up there last i read (not sure if it's accurate) it was 40% contained... the winds are high here and irregular we had a small quake @ just before 2am in fillmore too beaming all good stuff to all the rescue workers fighting all these fires here and to all those who have lost much i am thankful that many lives were not lost and that there seems to have been an incredibly quick evac as this fire engulfed the hills
wow... it's just overwhelming ... and i can only imagine...

his house burned down, lost all his stuff I'm gathering together some clothes and will be driving them up there |
