Hello lovely teachers~
My husband and a few friends are supporting me in filming a Yoga for Athletes (beginner - intermediate) dvd. It would be abut 45 min., and only sold in the studios I teach at, and local shops. I am a bit stumped though on how to format the speaking part. I am wondering if any of you have done a video before, or can give advice to what would be better. I want to talk while I go through the video, but a friend pointed out that I should do a voice over that way I can edit easier, and add music over as well. I am not sure how to go about the voice over. Obviously I have to write out a script, but do I go through the sequences and then try and voice over, or do I write out a script and listen to it as I am filmed so I can follow what I am saying? It seems weird to write a script to voice over. I feel like what I say when I teach is different every time, and I'm not much of a talker anyway. I get nervous thinking of spacing in a script, etc. I don't know why I am stumped on the best way to do this part. I have the sequences memerized so that I don't have to think about what I will do next, so that I can speak while I move. I have seen it done both ways, but am wondering which is the best, and how to go about prepairing for a voice over if that is the best way to go. Any advice would be so helpful!
