funny I was thinking yesterday....my bro would have a whole completely looking view on my Dad....he saw him as a tough on him (but my bro was lazy...thats a whole nother story haha) susie...that painting of your Dad is so mesmerizing....you are SO SO talented.... what other paintings do you have that you could share with us?  sandy

Got a Facebook greeting from my older, estranged, daughter this morning. "Happy Father's Day". I replied that she had "put a cherry on my
Father's Day Sunday".
Today I am quite happy. Small things can mean a lot. 
Hmm can't get my emoticons to work. (If I do a keyboard smiley it translates on the post though) Anything I should know about that? |

glad your daughter checked in on the emoticons i'm not sure i have trouble here with links when we first switched to yuku from ezboard i was advised to switch my 'editor (you see it in the quick reply box) from wswgi (or something like that ) to bbcode it helped with the issue i was having but now makes issues for me with links! it's always something ...lol see if switching editors helps but if u hadn't had a problem in the past...not sure why you would have one now. hmmm, curious... love rona

Hi Susie! Thanks for clearing up the mystery...I've wondered about that handstand since I saw your painting in your profile. That is so cool. My Dad
does Tai Chi and is very proud of his balance at age 80. No handstands, though.
You are so talented and there is so much depth to your work, layers and layers (just like you). Love it, love it. And, love all the pictures everyone posted, and the stories.

Thanks you guys.
Here's another photo of my father and his plane. 
He loved to fly and took me with him, letting me fly the plane. (or so I thought!) He was a flight instructor and the plane had dual controls. I really thought I was flying it myself! In first grade we were asked to draw a picture of a farm. I drew an aerial view of farm fields and Lake Michigan and the city of Racine. |
