I tried deleting all the PHP files which we don't use anyway, but that did not seem to do the trick. I'm finally getting into the new computer. It's fast! Love it. Still learning Vista and feel a little like a toddler relearning all this stuff. It is taking forever to get things set up. I still have to get my old files loaded onto the new hard drive and need to load up all my graphics software. Still, it's nice to, say, watch a video online without it taking all day to download and buffer. Be the realized teacher.

On the desktop it works fine - the only difference is that the laptop has the newest version of Internet Explorer as the browser. Come to think of it the inability to use smilies on the laptop probably started when the new browser was downloaded. Hmmmmmmmmm!!!!! Might be a reason to use Firefox or some such! It's not a big program so if u download it and run the discussion board in that and it works, then you have narrowed the problem down to i.e. settings. Be the realized teacher.
