Have an amazing time Scott! Probably best to avoid the "Sidshow Bob (Scott)" look, especially for customs and immigration - although they may be
"Simpsons" Fans !!

ENJOY!
We do not need to be the same, or think the same But we can hold hands as fellow travelers in this life. |

Well it's been over 40 degres today... you'll need to wait for the pics, I made a conscious decision not to bring my laptop so I don't spend hours
online... so I am about to log off hahaha
Tomorrow is Vyasa Purinam so we are celebrating with an unofficial opening ceremony for the new Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram building which is simply awesome - not got the charm of the old place, but amazing in so many other ways. Great day with Kausthub and TKV Desikachar so far. We are also receiving BKS Iyengar in a few weeks, an interesting continuation of last year's trip when we met with Sri K Pattabhi Jois. But even better it looks like we are heading deeper and deeper into the ayurveda-yoga blend that is this tradition, interesting times...

Hi Scott,
I was with Desikachar in Madras/Chennai in 1973-74. I lived there for a year, stayed at the Theosophical Society in Adyar. I think he was 34 at the time and Krishnamacharya was alive and well and almost always sitting on the porch. If you have a moment to do so, please give him my love. He might remember me. I was from the Krishnamurti School in England. I saw him a few years ago in Ojai. Erich |

Wow this well runs very deep.

"If you have a moment to do so, please give him my love.
He might remember me. " Hey Erich I saw this the other night and thought "Hmmm" cos even though Sir teaches us every day he very much comes in and goes off again. So I wasn't sure if I'd have the opportunity, also it's kind of daunting daring to talk with your heroes like that LOL And then at tea break the other day I turned around and there he was... so I asked if he remembered, and he said, "Oh yes, he is my friend from a very long time..." I passed on your regards and he asked me to do the same for you and your family :-D Phew, mission accomplished... Scott PS yes, amazing stuff going on here... some people really don't like Desikachar's interpretation of teh Yoga Sutra-s, but fail to realise that's just the summary and when expanded in the intended context it's completely different and makes so much more sense... a few missing pieces of the jigsaw in terms of the therapeutic application of Yoga have been revealed... |

Wow, isn't that so sweet. Beautiful sweet.
Yeah, Scott, I know what you mean about daunting daring to talk with you heroes like that. I was shaking the first time I met Erich...and the second...and the third. Geez...sometimes I still get nervous. Sending love from Texas to you in India. |

Scott I was just thinking what a shame it is that you won't make it out to Portugal this year - I was hoping you might finally make it to Sintra so I could show you all the sights! Unless you can pop over to be my monitor for the perinatal classes for a couple of days? Hugs Suzi |

I have no vacation plans yet Suzi, so oyu never know, we might drop by... need to lock those dogs away for Maureen tho LOL
I would prolly still be looking at Portugal but you did advise us not to come for the first two weeks of August, and that's when we'll be on holiday... |

If you like crowds, August would be the perfect choice - it's as if the whole country takes a holiday then!

Well, you never know, if we get the right deal we may head your way... need to be arranged by us rather than package I think, not many flights from Scotland to
Lisbon...
