I had 2 students last night with scoliosis. One of the 2 had rods in her back and could hardly move. I was not in a studio or situation with props, and
recommended we or she explore restorative yoga. The other student was in much better shape, the older of the 2. The one girl is a very young 30. We did some
balancing, used the wall for support in standing pose, laid down, worked a little core and hip openers. All was well, but I'd love some input from our
experts!
The one younger girl could not bend side ways forward, or do twists, however she was more mobile than she realized in dropping her knees side to side from lying down, so her hips were OK...also we did eagle arms and she was very open in that area as well.
