this is super simple, but it is giving me lots of relief, joy, and opening.
Folding up two blankets and placing them on a mat, against the wall.
sit on blankets, back against the wall.
1) take baddhakonasana, with spine vertical, back ribs against the wall, back of head against the wall. ground front of sit bones into the blankets.
surrender into it for about five minutes.
for fun extend arms out to the sides and press palms against wall and soften shoulders, and then back of hands against wall and soften.
2) take upavishtakonasana, with spine vertical, back ribs against the wall, back of head against the wall.
surrender into it for about five minutes.
gentle arm play as listed above, as desired.
3) counter posing as you see fit. forward folding in sukhasana is good, 2 minutes with one leg in front, 2 minutes with the other leg in front. followed by supine twists and shavasana.
subtle but effective!
