Hi all --
My father, aged 78, is having some trouble with his lungs. Doctor's not sure what it is -- perhaps scar tissue from smoking (which he stopped more than 35 years ago so that possibility blows my mind), cancer (very doubtful) or who knows what. But my dad asked me about exercises to increase the elasticity of the lungs -- does anyone have any knowledge about this? (Or to increase lung capacity) Most of the pranayama I know is meant to affect the nervous system. However, I imagine that using a bolster to open the chest and practicing some slow deep breathing could help.
Om shanti --
